How Soon is Too Soon: Moving Children from Booster Seat to Seat Belt

DELAWARE, Ohio - It is National Child Passenger Safety Week, which has us wondering if parents know how soon is too soon to move children from the booster seat to the seat belt. A recent study done by Safe Kids Worldwide was released stating that nine out of 10 parents take their children out of their booster seats before they are tall enough. What most parents are also unaware of is that those booster seats actually reduce the risk of serious injury by 45 percent!

According to the report "Buckle Up: Booster Seats", seven out of 10 parents did not know how tall their child had to be to ride in the vehicle without a booster seat. To prevent the risk of injury, all children should be at least 57 inches and weigh between 80 and 100 pounds to ride in a vehicle without a booster seat.

GM has a committed partnership with Safe Kids, working to raise awareness and improve child passenger safety. The result of this study is a great reminder that there is so much more that General Motors and Safe Kids can do to ensure all children are buckled up property during every single ride.

2015 Tahoe & Suburban Add OnStar 4G LTE Connectivity

DELAWARE, Ohio - This fall, Tahoe and Suburban customers can get connected with the latest convenience features Chevrolet has to offer. The redesigned 2015 Tahoe & Suburban models are adding OnStar 4G LTE connectivity, giving families the ultimate SUV vehicle that combines maximum capability, comfort and efficiency.

Starting in October, Chevrolet's class-leading full-size SUVs will be even more attractive to customers searching for a vehicle to fit into their active lifestyle. Aside from the 2015 Tahoe and Suburban providing passengers with spacious insides and plenty of cargo space, now families on the go will have access to a mobile hub while on the road.

OnStar 4G LTE provides a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot as a standard feature on the Tahoe and Suburban LT and LTZ models and comes with a three-month/three-gigabyte data trial (or whichever comes first). After this time, customers can then purchase additional data. The Luxury Package on the LT and the standard LTZ models include some additional features, like the hands-free liftgate and wireless phone charging capabilities. With the wireless phone charging feature, all users need to do is simply place their phone on the small, magnetic inductive mat inside of the vehicle and well, that is about it! How awesome is that?
