In 2014 model year testing, the 2014 Chevy Spark was named IIHS Top Safety Pick! In the Chevy Spark's first year of eligibility it became the only vehicle in the minicar segment to earn the Top Safety Pick rating!

In the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's recent testing, the 2014 Chevrolet Spark earned the highest possible "Good" score in the moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints tests. In the new small overlap test which is designed to replicate what happens when the front corner of the vehicle strikes another vehicle or object like a tree or utility pole, the Spark earned an "Acceptable" score.

DELAWARE, Ohio- Whether you've been naughty or nice this year, Santa Claus is coming to town and he will be here soon! Christmas is just days away and as the holiday nears you'll be able to track Santa's Christmas journey with OnStar! As you head to and from your Christmas eve festivities in your General Motors' vehicle you can press the blue button to track Santa's Christmas journey on OnStar!

OnStar has partnered with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) for the fifth year in a row to offer the Track Santa program for all OnStar subscribers! With your active OnStar subscription you can press your vehicle's blue button to request a "Santa Update" beginning at 7am on December 24th until 5am on December 25th. You and your family will be greeted by an OnStar advisor who will be able to give you an update on Santa's location based on NORAD information!

General Motors Nominated for North American Car & Truck of the Year

DELAWARE, Ohio- Two of the most noteworthy awards in the automotive world, the North American Car and Truck of the Year, are nearing their 2014 announcement at the Detroit Auto Show next month. Safe Driving Tips For Winter

DELAWARE, Ohio- The official first day of Winter hasn't even arrived yet and we're already dealing with dreadful driving conditions thanks to snow, ice, and freezing rain! It's always best just to stay home when a winter storm hits, but we know that you all have commitments that you can't avoid sometimes. So if you must head out when the snow is coming down, remember these Safe Driving Tips for Winter!

Safe Driving Tips for Winter:

1. Drive Slow. It takes longer to maneuver when you are driving on snow-covered roads compared to when you are driving on dry pavement, so make sure to slow down and give yourself some extra time.

2. Move Slow. Like we said, everything takes longer on snow- or ice-covered pavement so avoid skids and regain traction by accelerating slowly. It takes longer to slow down on on snow-covered roads, so start decelerating early to make sure you can slow down safely.

3. Back Up. Again, maneuvering on wet roads takes longer, so increase the following distance from the car in front of you to 8-10 seconds to make sure you have the extra time needed should you have to stop.

4. Brake Safely. Avoid slamming on your brakes in winter driving conditions. The best way to stop in snowy or icy conditions is threshold braking. Simply keep the heel of your foot on the floor and apply firm, steady pressure to the brake with the ball of your foot.

5. Take Hills Steady. As you approach a hill in the winter, the best method is to try to get some inertia before reaching the incline, and allow that to carry you up. Avoid applying extra gas when driving up hills in the winter since it can make your wheels spin.

6. Don't Stop Up Hill. Avoid stopping on an incline since trying to get going from a stop while on an snow-covered hill can be difficult.

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Debut Planned

DELAWARE, Ohio- It's that time of year where automakers debut the latest and greatest versions of their most popular vehicles at upcoming auto shows! This year, Chevrolet kicked off auto show season with the debut of the Colorado mid-size truck, and now the automaker has announced that the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 debut is planned! Chevy will release the final addition to their performance car line up at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month!

The most track-capable Corvette ever is set to be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show next month. The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 debut will reveal a vehicle set to deliver superior levels of performance through a unique powertrain, chassis, and aerodynamic features.

The new Corvette Z06 will be accompanied by the Corvette Stingray Convertible, Camaro Z/28, and SS sedan when it joins the automaker's performance car lineup. With this addition, Chevrolet will look to continue to dominate performance car sales as it did throughout the past year! Over the first 11 months of 2013, approximately 25% of all performance cars sold were Chevrolet, due in part to the Corvette and Camaro leading their respective segments!
