Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 to Pace Indianapolis 500

Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 to Pace Indianapolis 500

DELAWARE, Ohio — On your mark, get set, GO! The most track-capable Camaro in history is making its way to the 98th running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Get ready for some excitement on May 25th as the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 paces the Indianapolis 500 with three-time winner Dario Franchitti behind the wheel.

Chevrolet and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway share a long history. This will be the 8th time the Camaro has been the pace car and the 25th time Chevrolet has paced the race! The Camaro Z/28 will be sharing the spotlight with Franchitti this year because this moment will signify his new career path as he moves forward in a Chevy-powered driver development role with Chip Ganassi Racing for the 2014 IndyCar season. Although Franchitti won't be competing in the Indy500, he will do the Camaro Z/28 and himself justice as he leads the field to the green flag!

It only makes sense to have the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 pace the Indianapolis 500 since it is known for its speed and performance. Want to see for yourself what a Chevrolet vehicle is capable of?
